Swimsuit modeling is an extremely competitive field irrespective of appearances. Most people perceive swimsuit modeling to be about being pampered, wearing makeup and breathtaking designer swimsuit and taking pretty pictures. However, at the end of the day swimsuit modeling is a job, like any other job, which is very demanding and tiring. A small percentage of girls aspiring to become swimsuit models actually make a name for themselves. The number of female swimsuit models that are remembered after they have quit modeling is very small. We should always remember that these female swimsuit models are not mere sex objects. They are as human as any of us; experience the same emotions; have a life and ambitions and dreams that stretch beyond their profession i.e. swimsuit modeling. 1. Gisele Bundchen is one of the most famous female swimsuit models around the world. Bundchen was born in Brazil and has appeared on the cover of magazines in United States, United Kingdom, France, Brazil, and Italy. Apart from being a swimsuit model Bundchen has own line of designer sandals. She also owns the hotel Palladium Executive in Brazil.

2. Petra Nemcova was born in Czech Republic and has made a name in the swimsuit modeling industry. Petra Nemcova has appeared on the cover of Elle and Sports Illustrated Magazine’s Swimsuit Issue. Nemcova is one of the hottest models appearing in Victoria’s Secret catalouge.

3. Heidi Klum, another famous female swimsuit model has modeled for both Sports Illustrated Magazine’s Swimsuit Issue and Victoria’s Secret’s catalogue. Klum’s ambitions however do not end at her modeling career. She has her own line of designer clothing and swimwear. Klum has more recently launched her perfume called ‘Heidi.’ Klum has also appeared in a number of Hollywood flicks.

4. Brooke Burke has been modeling for swimsuit calendars for quite a few years. Burke began her career as an advertiser behind the camera. She currently designs and promotes her own line of designer swimwear. Like Klum, she has also appeared in some Hollywood flicks and has also made some small screen appearances. Married to David Charvet. Burke has three children.

5. Argentinian model Yamila Diaz is one of the female swimsuit models who have the honor of appearing on the cover of Sports Illustrated Magazine’s Swimsuit Issue. Diaz has also appeared on the covers of GQ and Glamour and has recently done a campaign for Cover Girl.

6. Bridget Hall, the beauty from Arkansas, started her modeling career at seventeen. Within a year Forbes Magazine named Hall one of the highest earning female swimsuit models around the world. Hall has appeared in countless photo shoots, fashion shows and campaigns. Some of the most famous of these campaigns included those of brands like Guess Jeans, Ralph Lauren, Maybelline, Versace, Gucci, Clinique, Valentino and Anne Klein. Hall is currently considering various acting offers from well known Hollywood directors.
